More Great News!! Rachelle met with her doctor and physical therapist today and they mentioned that "she has a lot to work with." The spinal cord specialist is "cautiously optimistic."

Uh, oh! Chris ended up getting the wrong smoothie. She loves him anyway though :)

Rachelle would personally like to thank everyone for the amazing support. She appreciates the "cheering" and the positive thoughts that everyone is sending her way.

Thank you!!!

Rachelle continues to joke despite having spend the last five days in the ICU. Just recently the doctors told her she could have a special type of smoothie. She looked over at Chris and said "you better get the right kind of smoothie or the wedding is off." She's funny and she's a fighter!

Rachelle, Chris and their families would like to thank you again for the support you have all shown and continue to show. Everyday Chris has been reading Rachelle a few of your uplifting messages and she is really enjoying them. I know everyone is waiting to hear what Rachelle's first words will be. We will update you as soon as she speaks. She is currently resting. The doctors have also said she can now have icy beverages.

Please continue to show your love for Rachelle.

Great news!!! The doctors have removed Rachelle's breathing tube. She is now breathing on her own 100% and her vitals are very stable. Our little fighter is doing better each day.

Thank you for all the support!

We were all hoping the breathing tube would come out today. Unfortunately, the doctors want to keep it in one more day as a precaution. Rachelle is very unhappy about the tube not coming out and she hates the fact that she cannot speak. She still remains in high spirits and continues to make jokes. Even with a breathing tube she managed to let everyone know that she is a "BADASS."

Hello, everyone:

Thank you very much for all your support!! Rachelle and her family appreciate all your love and positive thoughts.

Even after heavy sedation, Rachelle has managed to reveal her funny and positive personality. This afternoon Rachelle found out that her nurse had attended East Carolina University for one year. Rachelle was very excited about this and she managed to spell out "ARG." Despite the circumstances she is faced with, she remains humorous.

GO PIRATES!!
